September 2023 Fulfilment Update

It’s been a busy summer so we’re overdue updating you on fulfilment 🎉

UK Tracked

This has been a highly requested one, and I’m pleased to say that we’ve roughly halved the cost of UK Tracked fulfilment. This includes compensation, full end to end tracking and confirmation of delivery (including a photo). 

As always our prices are ‘all inclusive’ making it easier to charge backers. 

UK Untracked

We’ve reviewed the pricing of UK Untracked and unfortunately it’s not good value for money compared to Tracked services so we’ve made the decision to stop offering it, except for the lightest zines. 

We know that value is an important consideration to y'all so we'll always look for the best prices, whilst balancing quality of service.

General Clarifications

There have been a few updates to clarify things that have come up: 

• Weight bands are exclusively for the products you’re sending - the price includes the weight of any packaging we use.
• The additional item fee is per SKU, not per additional quantity of that SKU. 
• We can reformat BackerKit data efficiently to meet our requirements (at a small charge). 
• When invoicing backers directly, we include a small service charge to cover the costs of that service.
• Our weight bands have been adjusted slightly to take into account the new UK Tracked services and general pricing changes.

Finally…

I’ve decided to move on from the Press and I’ll be handing everything over to my colleagues in the next couple of weeks 😢

It's been an exciting year and things have grown a lot but it’s time for the Press to move on to exciting new chapters, and I feel I’ve done my bit to get it in a sustainable position whilst learning so much. We’ve been on an awesome journey ✨

I’d like to thank everyone we’ve worked with over the past few years - it’s been a real privilege to have worked on so many projects with such talented people. In particular, I’d like to thank some of our earliest customers including Jon (Lost In Cult), Marco (Spicy Tuna), Hinokodo (MIRU/MIIRU) and Iko (Lost Bay Studios) who put such faith in us, gave us feedback and kept the support going 🙏
